My Values

Purple Horizon Therapies are dedicated to promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing for all people.  I  fundamentally believe that within a safe and supportive environment people can expand as individuals, develop insight and increase self awareness to attain their pure potential.

I believe that everyone has the right to be treated with dignity, respect and equality.  Therefore I encourage creative exploration methods for the promotion of change and transformation to enhance reflection and the freedom to make decisions, experiment and test out new ideas.

I believe that the individual is the expert of their own life, know their own truth and path; and thrive when given the chance to develop their own understanding and destiny with appropriate support.

Sue Cairns

I have worked in the community for over 12 years with children, young people, adults and families with mental health issues, substance misuse issues, bereavement and life’s challenges both in a groupwork setting, and one to one sessions.  I am also an experienced trainer with a proven track record.  References available on request.  I am  Disclosure Scotland (Enhanced) checked and fully insured, and have regular supervision sessions with an experienced Psychodrama Psychotherapist.

Environment

I believe this type of support (groups or one to one) should be available in communities generally, and I will travel across Scotland to deliver this in a suitable venue.   I provide a safe and supportive environment using art and experiential action techniques within a person centred approach to help illustrate the issues being explored.
